As we celebrate the end of the first summer session, I want to thank you all for a great semester.
I've
enjoyed our class and online discussions about Media Law
topics throughout the semester. Your insight, inquisitiveness and desire
to learn were greatly appreciated by me. After all, I can't do what I
do if it weren't for you.
Congratulations to
those that are graduating in August. Along with my faculty colleagues
in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, I will be there.
Look for me -- I'll be in my fancy Fordham Law School cap and gown! If
you're
still around Old Main next semester, I hope you visit me from time to
time.
Much thanks to those that submitted class critique essays. I look forward to reading the essays and using them to improve.
Lastly, this is always a strange and bittersweet time: strange because I
enjoy being in the classroom with my students; bittersweet because I
also know that I'll miss you and our discussions. I'm sure something
will happen in the news that will make me pause and think to myself, "I
can't wait to share this with my class... oh, wait." Sad face.
We live in strange and challenging times. The need for educated people with critical thinking skills is needed more than ever.
But let's end on a positive note! It's been a lot of fun this semester.
Thanks for your participation. Hope you have a great rest of the summer and beyond. Best wishes.
