As we celebrate the end of the spring semester, I want to
thank you all for a great semester.
I've enjoyed our class and online discussions about Media Law topics
throughout
the semester in my three classes -- my 12:30 p.m. TTh class, my Online class and my Honors class. I
greatly appreciated your insight, inquisitiveness and desire to learn.
After all, I can't do what I do if it weren't for you. You help me see these material with fresh eyes, and I am very grateful.
Congratulations to those that are graduating on Thursday. I plan to attend
commencement, so I’ll be cheering you on. If you're still
around Old Main in the future, I hope you visit me from time to time.
Many thanks to those that submitted class critique essays. I look forward to
reading the essays and using them to improve.
Lastly, this is always a strange and bittersweet time for me: strange because I
enjoy
being in the classroom and virtual classroom with my students, so not being with you
again is strange; bittersweet because I also know that I'll
miss you and our discussions. I'm sure something will happen in the news
that
will make me pause and think to myself, "I can't wait to share this with
my class... oh, wait." Sad face.
We live in strange and challenging times. The need for educated people with
critical thinking skills is needed more than ever.
But let's end on a positive note! It's been a lot of fun this semester. Thanks
for your participation. Hope you have a great summer break and beyond. Best
wishes.
