Farewell, Spring 2024 classes!

Thank you so much for a great semester!

I want you to know how much I appreciated each of my classes this semester -- the 11 a.m. MW class, the online class, the honors class and the graduate class.

I've enjoyed discussing media law and ethics topics throughout the semester with you. I greatly appreciated your insight, inquisitiveness and desire to learn. After all, I can't do what I do if it weren't for you. You help me see these materials with fresh eyes, and I am very grateful.

Congratulations to those that are graduating this semester. I won't be at commencement, but I'll be cheering for you from afar.

We started the semester with my question to you to name a favorite law-related book, movie, TV show or song. Allow me to end it with a line from another favorite law-related movie of mine, “The Shawshank Redemption,” a movie about Andy Dufresne, a man wrongly accused and wrongly convicted of murder. Late in the movie, he writes a letter to his friend Red.

“Remember, Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”

I wish all the best for you wherever life takes you. Please keep in touch. Best wishes.

I know you didn't ask us to comment but I wanted to thank you for an amazing semester! I was so nervous about Media Law since I had never taken a course related to law before, but you made it very easy for me to understand thus causing me to be really interested in the lectures.
I don't think this movie qualifies, but it does include intense court scenes: Miss Sloane, starring Jessica Chastain. I HIGHLY recommend it!
Have a great summer!

Media Law was so much fun! I absolutely enjoyed exploring various topics, and specifically the discussions from studying the cases.
Thanks to you!
